Founder & Attorney at Law

Tania Manners

I own and lead the Manners Law Firm — a litigation firm in Portland, Oregon. My practice includes the handling of personal injury, medical malpractice, and general litigation matters.

I have been representing clients in complex litigation for more than two decades. As an experienced trial attorney, I have tried multiple cases to verdict in New York and Oregon courts.

In 2024, I opened the Manners Law Firm to provide high-level representation with a personal touch. I am passionate about helping clients navigate through the legal process to obtain a favorable resolution of their matter. I have earned a reputation for conducting skillful depositions and negotiations, and will aggressively seek pre-trial resolution when appropriate, while also serving as a relentless advocate to achieve victories for my clients in the courtroom.

Longstanding legal directory Martindale-Hubbell assigned me an AV® rating for legal ability and ethical standards, which is the highest rating an attorney can obtain. I am also listed in The Best Lawyers in America©, a respected guide to the nation’s most outstanding attorneys.

I started my legal career in 2004 as a prosecutor in the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office in Monticello, New York. After practicing as a litigation associate at a premier healthcare law firm and then an international law firm, I went on to serve as Associate Counsel and Settlement Negotiator for the New York City Health & Hospitals Corporation, the largest municipal hospital and healthcare system in the country. While in this role, I supervised outside defense counsel and successfully negotiated and settled numerous high-exposure cases. Since 2014, I have worked in Oregon as a partner at two litigation boutiques handling complex litigation, including personal injury, casualty and property damage, antitrust, toxic tort, insurance coverage, administrative law, and commercial litigation matters.

In my free time, I enjoy all aspects of living in the Pacific Northwest, including skiing, paddle boarding, cycling, pickleball, and hiking with my family.
